But I am thankful for that 1%.Audio Format(s): English DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio, Spanish Dolby Digital 5.1 I was hoping it would help with fanbase, and it has, but since it is so hard to seach the pages, it is very slow going.Īll in all, myspace makes me feel dirty when I use it and it is 99% b.s. Then he posts bulletins saying he never spams for friends (which is b.s.).I am going to stop here since you can see that I have a strong bias as the result of a knuckle head (but if he's so great, why hasn't the real world.or local world.noticed?). I don't think anybody buys into it, but he sits around and adds as many 20-something chicks as possible. I know a guy on there who just brags about himself on his page and it is almost all made up. Unless, as a musician, you sit on your computer, lie about a bunch of stuff and invite everybody you can to be your "friend", it isn't very efficient for generating much. The most it has done for me is let me meet some cool bands out of the area. I think it is a fad, and will evenutally wain in popularity. I can never successfully search for anything on Myspace. Time will tell whether or not these will reach the same level of popularity as Myspace has.

Billboard Magazine, in a recent article, mentioned "You Tube" as a site that's starting to take off, as well as a site called "Tagworld" or something. And eventually we'll all be complaining about it too. But I guess you get what you pay for.īut anyway, when Myspace eventually sinks back into obscurity, something else will come along and take its place.

It isn't much of an issue if you're MP3s have been mastered by a professional engineer, but otherwise, what Myspace's processors do to the sound is horrible. My big gripe with Myspace is that they make your music sound like crap. If anything it serves as a good way for more people to find out about a band in the first place. Although, I agree that a Myspace page shouldn't serve as a band's replacement for having an actual website. The same can't be said for a band's website, as every one of them is set up differently. It's easy for someone to navigate their way around and find where everything is. Myspace's strength is its convenience, in that everyone's page is basically set up the same. I can't speak for everyone else, but I'd probably go to a band's Myspace page first before I'd visit their website. The main reason it does so well is that everybody is on it. I agree that Myspace probably isn't going to be around forever. I can't wait until something comes along and KILLS MySpace! "I like don't know what to write here about myself, so whatever". It's so cheesy too! Every moron in the world has a page and they all say the same thing. I don't think it's a good "web-site" for bands to have, I think it's good to cash in on the flavor of the month aspect of it. I think, in theory, MySpace is a great idea, if it ran smoothly and consistently. If anyone directs me to that page to hear their band one more time.and I go.and MySpace freezes.and nothing happens.and the pictures don't come up.and then some stupid message that someone left with a waving Tinkerbell gets jammed.and someone else left an audio comment and it's playing fart noises.and the music never plays and I can't do anything and my browser freezes.

I thought it was a great idea, and in theory it is, but I can't take it anymore. I'm sorry, but I can't stand freakin' MySpace.
